MB Fashion Week Madrid: Teresa Helbig

Teresa Helbig is always one of my favorites for her light and airy sportswear and cute dresses. Of course I was not disappointed this season with her 70´s retro undertones, pantsuits and of course, her onesie short outfits, my absolute fave. In fact I need to head to the gym for a solid leg workout so I can wear some of the fab daisy dukes shorts this summer! Images taken by Paloma Canseco.

Favorite: white onesie with gold studs and sweater onesie.

MB Fashion Week Madrid: Francis Montesinos

The Franscis Montesinos collection, ¨Silk On the Road¨, simply put, was bossy and fabulous. Inspired by the Silk Road, the Asian and Middle Eastern influences made the line unique and bold. Bright colors, gorgeous silks, tons of imagery of peacock feathers, this line was extreme and just so much fun. I adored the long onesies too. And the blue cowboy boots were to die for. An amazing collection! Photos by Paloma Canseco.

MB Fashion Week Madrid: Maria Barros

Maria Barros showed gorgeous collection of slimfit, pencil type dresses and gowns. The colors were bold and sharp, evergreen, pale pink and cobalt blue. Unfortunately for me, several of the looks were tea length, and us short girls just cannot make that work, but it looked amazing on the models.  I also loved the touches of blue in the models hair.

MB Fashion Week Madrid: Roberto Verino

Major flashback to Mad Men times! This amazing collection was inspired by the 1950’s and 60’s, paying homage to some incredible icons like Audrey Hepburn. The first part of the collection was filled with tweed and houndstooth with sexy matching over the knee boots. The second part was literally dripping with luxury and glamour! Loved every second of this collection. Thanks to the lovely Paloma Canseco for the photos!

MB Fashion Week Madrid: Amaya Arzuaga

Amaya Arzuga showed a gorgeous collection in her typical style of garments with interesting silhouettes and plenty of volume. Pleats, leather, and my personal favorite, capes defined her Fall/Winter 2014-15 line. I loved the touch of evergreen that was thrown in to some of the looks, and of course the signature of the collection: the Kaleidoscope print.

Seoul Fashion Week Highlights

So after Tokyo I headed over to Seoul, South Korea to check out a few days of fashion shows at Seoul Fashion Week. I fell in love with the city of Seoul, it’s just so beautiful and while it’s a huge urban metropolis, I felt like there were many parks and places to avoid the crowds and relax. The street style was absolutely amazing, I loved there, very eclectic and funky.  I saw mostly menswear shows but here are a few photos of the venue and womenswear I took while I could!

Tokyo Fashion Week: Né-Net

So here I am in Tokyo at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tokyo. Tokyo is overwhelming large and crowded, and I am staying right in the center of things in the Shibuya area, which I kind of think is like Times Square on crack, zillions of people, noise, shops, music, etc. I am sure Japan has beautiful gardens and such but for now-my escape for the crowds in the Shibuya Hikarie Hall, where all the fashion is happening. I haven’t seen too much womenswear, we’ve really only been hitting the menswear shows, but I was able to see a unique designer today, Né-Net which creates both menswear and womenswear.

Né-Net makes sort of preppy clothes, very square lines and not super feminine, but I enjoyed the show.  They used a lot of trending silhouettes and fabrics like ombre, plaid, etc.  I am not sure this is my personal style, I probably would only wear a few select looks, or maybe pair one of the plaid pieces with a more basic look.  However, the show was fun and I loved their styling and design of the runway show, it was similar to someones living room!
