The Sartorialist in Madrid

I was thrilled to finally be able to check out the photo exhibit from famous fashion blog ¨The Sartorialist¨.  For those of you who aren´t familiar with the blog (gasp! blasphemy! Start reading it immediately HERE!), it´s a blog that takes pictures of people with interesting fashion on the streets of various cities around the world.  I honestly think it has revoluntinized the way we see fashion. It´s not just about runway trends and expensive designers.  The Sartorialist is all about having your own personal style, quirks, and personality and just rocking it.

The exhibit was small but tastefully done and I really loved each and every photograph I saw.  I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did and if you get a chance to visit the exhibit in person, please go, it really only takes a few minutes to stroll around.

For details about the exhibit, please visit my blog post HERE with the location, dates, etc of the exhibit.

Saved my favorite for last…the snow…the loubs…the coat…everything is magical!

Me, visibly excited to be seeing all these amazing photos!

YOU can be ´The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo´

Well…sort of!  If you have read the Millenium Trilogy series, you know that Lisbeth Sander, resident bad ass of the books.  She´s one tough young lady, and apparently, if you want to be like her…you can now wear her clothes!

Trish Summerville (the movie´s costume designer) has created a fashion line for H&M inspired by Sander´s black, gothic, tough girl wardrobe.  The line is set to launch Dec. 14 in select H&M stores, just a few days before the opening of the American version of the movie.  I would imagine the line will feature a lot of black, leather, studs, these type of things.  It sounds cool!  Check out a few sneak peeks below:

Justin Timberlake AND Amanda Seyfried in MADRID

Justin and Amanda made an apperance in Madrid November 3rd to promote their new movie, ´In Time´.

I think they both look great, and I love Amanda´s dress.  Wish I had seen them running around Madrid!

Emma Stone in Madrid promoting ´The Help´

On October 3rd, Emma Stone and cast members from ´The Help´made a photo call appearance in Madrid.  I love Emma Stone and I also really enjoyed the movie AND the book ´The Help´, so I think it´s fantastic they were here to promote it.  In spanish the movie will be titled ´Criadas y Señoras´(literally translates to Maids and Women), as you can sort of see in the back of the photos.

Emma looks elegant in her chosen look of basic black, however the look does age her a bit, she is only 22 after all.  But of course you can never go wrong with black and she does look classy.  Glad to see she is back to her red hair, I think she looks great with red hair. Thoughts?

Calle de las Estrellas Madrid

Ever wanted to see Hollywood´s walk of fame?  Now Madrid has it´s own version!  The Calle de las Estrellas (Street of the Stars) will be on Martín de los Heros street in Madrid .  The Walk of Fame was inagurated June 27th and the stars on the street will be for the following people that have contributed to spanish cinema:

Pedro Almodovar, Alejandro Amenabar, Juan Antonio Bardem, Luis García Berlanga , Luis Buñuel, José Luis Garci, Pilar Miró, Carlos Saura, Fernando Trueba,  Imperio Argentina, Penelope Cruz, Carmen Maura, Sara Montiel, Emma Penella, Amparo Rivelles, Carmen Sevilla and Concha Velasco. Antonio Banderas, Javier Bardem, Fernando Fernan Gomez, Pepe Isbert, Alfredo Landa, Toni Leblanc, Paco Rabal and Fernando Rey

These directors, actors, etc complete the names of the 25 stars of granite, marble and steel designed by Oscar Mariné. One or two new stars will be added each year to the street.  The project was developed because Spain wants to call attention to their cinema and film industry.

Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson in Spain

I am thrilled that the book, ¨Water for Elephants¨ (Agua para Elefantes in Spain) is now a film. To promote the movie, Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson were in Barcelona May 2nd.  They then signed autographs in the rain for their fans, which seems really nice.  They are looking good and I can´t wait to see the movie!
