This year I was lucky enough to attend the Teresa Helbig Fashion Show, which was, of course, totally fabulous. I am a long time fan of her designs, which she creates in Barcelona and was thrilled to be able to see the runway live. My friend Pedro, writer of Voguesponge, came along with me and we had a blast.
I would first like to point out that all the models wore these low heeled, suede cowboy style boots. Of course, I am long time supporter of cowboy boots, even when I was laughed and jeered at, I still stomped all around New York City in my cowboy boots, and OH LOOK now they are BACK! Looks like someone has an eye for trends 🙂
The Teresa Helbig collection was clean cut and simple, featuring suede, leather, see through mesh and a lot of velvet. Velvet is back with a vengeance and I am certain it will be plastered all over the New York City runways this season, which I will be covering in a few weeks. I enjoyed her color choices, which mainly black, beige and a pop of hot pink or forest green.
See my favorite looks below…hope you enjoy the looks as much as I did! (My photos of course aren´t the greatest so I will be including some photos from Gstresonline)
Here we see some velvet and some see through mesh material
Leather ´n Lace!
I want this all leather dress
Black leather top, velvet shorts. and a hot pink fur…BOSSY
Love this gray dress. This model is super famous and for some reason I cannot remember her name, but she walks in several shows every year in Madrid, among other places.
I love this look and would wear it. It´s great because you can mix and match the shorts and shirt and pair them each with a million things!
You can never go wrong with a little hot pink!
Assigned seating. One day I am hoping to see ¨Life and Style Madrid¨on one of those signs!
Of course the grand dilema is what to wear, what to wear, what to wear to look fabulous! Normally to a fashion show you wear the designer you are seeing, but as I´m poor little fashion blogger, just tryin´to get by can´t really afford designer digs so I did the best I could with a top from Pull and Bear, Purse from Forever 21, Skirt from Stratadivarius, and my ´splurge´ Jeffrey Campbell shoes.
I was super excited because I saw a spanish ´celeb´Macarena Gomez who plays Lola on one of my favorite spanish television shows: ¨La que se Avecina¨. She was super nice when we asked to take a photo with her.
NOTE: Teresa Helbig won the LÓreal prize for the Best Collection this year at fashion week, yay!
