For the past five years, Elena Miro, plus size clothing designer, has opened at Milan fashion week. This year, she was excluded. Head of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion Mario Boselli explained the council’s reasoning, telling AFP, “Some labels just weren’t in line with what ready-to-wear week should be. We wanted to champion the values of creativity to reaffirm Milan’s role in the world.” AKA plus size: not wanted. Miro held her own show later in the week. See below for image.
Now compare this, with an image from a model that walked in Milan´s Fashion Week.
WOW. Enough said. What do all you readers out there think? Is this fair? Please share your opinions!
