When I created this blog about a year and a half ago, one of my reasons for starting it was to show that Madrid is a fashionable city with talented designers and a unique and fabulous street style.
David Delfin walks the NYC Runway
Helping my cause of course, are a few select Spanish designers who are branching out by having fashion shows in other cities not located in Spain.
In 2012, David Delfin and Elisa Palomino walked the NYC runwyas, and Custo Barcelona in 2011-2012. Others who have showed in NYC are Amaya Arzuaga, Ailanto, Kina Fernandez, Lidia Delgado, and Angel Sclesser.
Sita Murt, Custo Barcelona and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada have all visited Moscow´s Fashion Week. Next September 2012, 36 Spanish designers will walk the Russian runway in Moscow.
Devota and Lomba, Roberto Verino, Victor y Lucchino, and Jesus del Pozo were all part of an exhibit called ¨20 Trajes Para Rusia: Diseñadores Dialogan con la Literatura¨(20 Oufits for Russia: Designs Work with Literature) that travelled through Tokyo, Istanbul, Milan, Brussels and Budapest.
