Beyonce ¨ Mrs. Carter¨for H&M

After seeing the fabulous ¨Mrs. Carter¨tour in Milan last weekend (recap to come shortly!)  I knew I had to post on her fabulous and very reasonably priced swimwear line for H&M.

The suits are cute, sexy and fun and stay within H&M´s normal price range, which I think is great!  The images are gorgeous, and they show young women what real curves are allllll about-no stick figure skinny models here!

Her billboards are plastered throughout Europe so I think the line has been highly advertised-better stop in and grab your suit before they sell out!

Cindy Crawford for C&A

I am not the hugest fan of the shop C&A here in Spain.  It reminds me of JC Penny and it´s not a bad place to shop, it´s just not particularly my style.  However, I have to say that when I saw Cindy Crawford as the spokesperson for the spring C&A line, I stopped to look!

After researching, I realized that there is actually a Cindy Crawford COLLECTION.  Here are a few images below.  For  more you can stop into the store of course.  What do you guys think? Do you like the clothes? Would you wear them?

Best of Madrid: Federica & Co.

IMG_6339SM

Federica & Co. is a new type of project here in Madrid.  It consists of several shops and items smattered about a little courtyard.  They call it a concept store, I call it fabulous.

The space is a beautiful courtyard which seems worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city.  You stroll in and start to see flowers and gardening objects, wine and picnic baskets.  There are many shops in the space, one of them being Federica & and Co. and the others being Mimoki, Yellow & Stone, Charlotte and Ma., Ana Corsini, Sister Jane, The Flying Cow, and Brumalis and the occasional pop up shop.  Until next week the pop up shop is Stella Rittwagen.

Mirando Kerr Mango Images Up Around Madrid

Finally, Mango has retired Kate Moss and has plastered images of Miranda Kerr around the city of Madrid.  The unveiling has finally arrived and I must say, I love the images and I think she is a much better role model than our darling Kate Moss.

These are my two favorite images-what do you guys think?  In my opinion, she looks pretty amazing!

Beyonce…for H&M?

Beyonce HM

Rumor has it the Beyonce is the next celeb to create a collection for H&M.  Beyonce has been in the public eye quite a bit lately with her singing the National Anthem at the Presidental Inaguration, followed by her halftime show at the Superbowl and her recent announcement of her World Tour, Mrs. Carter. Not to mention possible Illuminati signs flashed?

Anyway just another story to add to the pile…she may or may not be designing a line for H&M.  Apparently one of her dancers tweeted something about a photo shoot in the Bahamas for Beyonce´s new line and then soon deleted it after realizing she wasn´t supposed to tweet said info.  TOO LATE!  Everybody knows now!

H&M has declined to comment on this matter.  What do you guys think? Will there be a an H&M collection by Beyonce? Will it be sassy? Bootylicious even?  Or urban like House of Dereon?

Best of Madrid: Roxanne Moda y Café

Inconspiciously placed on a small residential street in Barrio Salamanca, Roxanne Moda y Café is a tiny little boutique that also serves coffee, tea and homemade pasteries.  Upon entering, the spacious, impecibly organized boutique invites you in with it´s detailed decorations, soft hints of jazz music floating,  original fashions and the prospect of a hot cup of tea.

ROXANNE MODA Y TE 008sm

The boutique has only been open 5 months and the warm and welcoming owner, Arturo, was happy to sit down with me and explain  his vision.  He wanted to create something different, outside the box, and loved the concept of shoppers stopping in not only for a purchase but also for a hot coffee and a slice of homemade cake.  Everything detail was executed with great care, from the tea pots to the dressing rooms, which Arturo designed and made himself.

The boutique has lovely clothes, jewelry, shoes and bags.   They are currently having their ¨rebajas¨sales so you can get some great deals at the moment.

The boutique has no kitchen, so all tasty treats are baked in the owner´s home and brought to the store daily.  The tea menu is creative and not to mention well priced, 1.50 euros for steaming hot tea served in an artfully designed cup and saucer.  Everything is meticulously perfect!

If you are having a birthday party and would like to celebrate at Roxanne´s, you can make your own personalized ¨list¨at the store with the items you want.  Your friends can come in for the party and to shop for your presents and meanwhile, Arturo offers the whole party free tea and pasteries!   This promotion is only valid for a limited time only-so if you are interested contact the shop owner asap.

As promised, I am sharing my Zara rebajas finds with you today.  And they were certaintly real ¨discoveries¨ as I had to fight through hoards of snotty girls, old ladies, and baby strollers to get what I found!  I also waited in unbelievably long lines but in the end, my three shirt purchases were worth it.  That weren´t as cheap as I had originally hoped but still a good deal.

Spotlight on: Bimba Y Lola Rings

Bimba y Lola is an amazingly cute shop here in Spain.  I especially like their jewelry and purse sections.  A friend alerted me to these gorgeous rings, on sale for just 12 euros.  They are available now online and in store, so go quickly before they sell out!

Rebajas Finds

My favorite season of the year has arrived-rebajas season! This year several stores started their rebajas earlier than usual, probably to drive some sales due to the current economic crisis.  This worked in my favor, and I rushed to Mango as soon as I heard the news.  Their sales were fabulous.  Almost the whole store was on sale at 50% off.  There were some amazing finds there and I will share them with you.  My absolute favorite pick was a onesie I had originally tried on in size small back in September.  It was too big and the salesgirl had told me that the size small was the smallest they had.  Disappointed, I purchased something else.  Low and behold, I discover an X-SMALL during rebajas! So of course I purchased it for the low price of just 17.99 instead of the original 34.99!  It´s too cold to wear it until spring…but I will be anxiously awaiting to sport it!

Below are my finds from Mango, starting with the infamous onesie.  Stay tuned for other finds when Zara´s rebajas begin!

Naomi Watts for El Corte Inglés

Naomi Watts has been very popular in Spain since her role in ¨Lo Imposible¨ (The Impossible), a film directed by Spanish filmaker J.A Bayona.   This holiday season, you can see Naomi continuing her professional relationship with Bayona as he directs her in an El Corte Inglés print and tv ad campaign.   She was spotted filming just the other day here in Madrid.

I love the commercial-you can see the video below.  It´s not the greatest quality, but if you turn on the TV you can probably see the ad…just listen for the ¨Me Encanta¨…it´s my favorite part!

Happy Holidays!
