Ring Trend Alert!

My friend Heather alerted me to a rising new trend of rings.  The idea is that you wear the ring above the first joint of your finger.  Now when I heard it I was skeptical but she sent me some photos and won me over.  I am particularly obsessed with this ring, I adore the arrow.  The cool thing is it´s adjustable-you can wear it as a regular ring or  the ´above the first joint of your finger´ring.

32 dollars by CatBird

Here are a few other ideas to get your mind rolling on this new ring trend-alphabet rings.  A small thin ring with a letter or small symbol.

This are 52 dollars each, also by CatBird.

Now if you want to hop on this trend-a few things to remember.  No giant rings-this only works with small, thin rings.  I am certain you can find them at cheaper stores like H&M, or even just regular thin rings that you buy a size to small so they fit above the finger joint.

Happy ring shopping!

Best Dressed Cannes: Diane Kruger

This year my absolute favorite dress was worn by Diane Kruger, and she actually  wore TWO of my favorite looks! So today´s feature is on her and her two (of many) fantastic Cannes fashion.

The dress , worn for the opening ceremony, was designed by Giambattista Valli  and she is also wearing Repossi earrings.  It looks like shes floating on water or something, just LOVE it!

This short number, a pleated, burgundy Versus dress dress paired with Jimmy Choo shoes was perfect for the Jury Photocall.  I would absolutely wear this outfit, adore it!

Style Watch: Accessories

A friend of mine recently sported these incredibly bossy earrings at a bachelorette party and I fell in love with them immediately! Feathers and teal are very big this fall, so she is right on trend, if not ahead. I also was a fan of her bracelets.  As I always say, accessories make the outfit, and these certaintly did!

I went to a wedding shower in Chicago last weekend and was impressed by my friend Erin´s style.  She had a great greenish blue dress on from Nordstrom´s Rack and a bracelet which I LOVED from Nordstroms.  See below!

I love the detailing at the neckline, so pretty!

Things I LOVE: Chapter 12

Mckenzie jewelry is based out of London and all of their items are made of pure silver.  You can purchase their jewels at Corte Ingles.  I recently bought this ring and I adore the blue gem color, so pretty!  (the ring was originally 90 euros but got it at 60% off-awesome deal!)

Things I LOVE: Chapter 9

Le Monvintage is an accessories and clothing line that I am just wild for.  It´s Spanish based but has that French touch, with charming, creative, boutiqueish designs.

I´ve written about Le Monvintage before but would like to just reiterate that I love them and that they are also launching a new line of skirts, which are super sassy.  I went to a small showing of their new line last weekend and here are the pictures.

Send the Trend!

The web is truly changing the way we communicate with the world and even revolutionizing how we SHOP!  Send the Trend is a new website that basically provides an accessories shopping service for it´s members.

How does it work?  First you sign up and take a style profile survey so your style and preferences can be determined.  Once your fashion personality has been analyzed, one accessory a month will be sent to you.  The fee per month is about 30 US dollars, including shipping. If don´t like the accessory, you can send it back!  Or you can order more than 1 a month.  Check out it, but beware…it´s addicting!

The best part was that the site was created by my all time favorite Project Runway winner, Cristian Siriano!  FIERCE!

PS sad but true…they only ship to the USA…
